I very much liked the bento box I ordered. It was the salmon teriyaki. It was money's worth and it reminded me of a bento I had in Seattle or Tokyo. Authentic Japanese food at a reasonable price.

For some reason, today was the first time this "Togo" only Japanese spot popped up on my Bento Box search. I am glad I found it as we ordered over the phone and it was already once we arrived which was only 15 minutes. We ordered: Bento Box #5 Teriyaki Beef/Chicken Combo which comes with Rice, Gyozas, fried potatoes, cucumbers, pickled daikon Bento Box #8 Teriyaki chicken/California Sushi Rolls which comes with Rice, Gyozas, fried potatoes, cucumbers, pickled daikon Both of the bento boxes were fresh & tasty, service was minimal but solid. We will definitely come back as it's close in EG off Laguna Blvd & in the Big 5 sporting good parking lot.

When Tokyo Stop Sushi & Grill opened in Elk Grove/Laguna Creek, it was at the time California was still under the pandemic. I think this is one of the reasons they don't have dine-in options. They're a to-go-only restaurant. The restaurant is not far from my home. Less than 3-4 minutes drive. I should be here more often. My family and friends all have ordered lunch or dinner from Tokyo Stop before. But this is my first time ordering from them. The storefront looks very nice. The sign and the lights are perfect. The restaurant stands out from the stores next to them. The parking lot is big and easy to get parking very close to the restaurant too. I ordered the Teriyaki beef bowl. I didn't pre-order by phone or app. It takes them less than five minutes to have it ready for me. The lady who takes my order at the front desk is amiable and polite. The Teriyaki beef bowl is very good! The taste is perfect. The rice is perfectly cooked. The beef is delicious, even if it is a little overcooked. The amount of teriyaki sauce is just right. I enjoy my dinner even when I am not hungry. I'm sure I'll be back soon.

Looking for a quick Japanese meal to go? Look no further, Tokyo Stop is the place for your quick Japanese hunger. Even though this place is not a sit down, that doesn't mean the quality of food suffers. I was presently surprised at quality of the food for a "To Go" type place. It looks to be a family owned shop. Everyone I've encountered has been very friendly and helpful. That day we ended up ordering: B10: Veggie Combo Bento - The amount of food in this bento box is very generous. The Teriyaki Tofu was very flavorful. The veggie tempura was crispy and tasted really good. I initially thought there were 2 croquettes, however, the croquette was just 1 piece cut in half. Not a big deal, because it was very good as well, that's why I was hoping for another piece haha. All in all, B10 is a definite go to if you are vegetarian. D3: Gyu Don - This bowl was very flavorful and a good amount. We really enjoyed tenderness of the beef. It was perfect with the special sauce they have. If you like thinly sliced beef, get a Gyu Don, you will not be disappointed. I look forward to coming back here and supporting this family business when we're hungry. Quick tip, be sure to check in on Yelp for a free soda.

This is the Japanese restaurant I never knew I needed! I'm way more used to Japanese restaurants that are the dine in style, but I really see the value in having a quick stop shop like this. Mostly because you can have great quality Japanese food at an affordable price, without all the frills. TL;DR: Very affordable and authentic flavors! I have loved everything I have gotten so far. Their sushi is good and the rice bowls/bentos are delicious! Love their fast take away style because it's perfect for grabbing food when you're on the go. LOCATION/PARKING: They are located in the Laguna Park Village Shopping Center, in between O'Reilly Auto and Big 5. The parking lot is decent sized so we've never had any issues finding a spot. Presotea is right next door, which is perfect for grabbing a drink while waiting for your order! ATMOSPHERE: The restaurant is a small shop designed for takeout where you have a counter to order, a beverage fridge, and a small bench area to sit and wait for food. SERVICE: So far I've only seen 3 people working there, so it seems like they are more of a mom and pop shop. The lady taking our order is always super friendly and kind and the food is always ready within 15-20 min depending on the size of our order. FOOD: For the rice bowls, I really love their Beef Teriyaki. The beef is thin and not dry and the teriyaki sauce is delicious. The bowl is pretty filling and comes with a good portion of rice and meat and some veggies on the side as well. The Chicken Teriyaki was pretty good too. My BF really likes their Grilled Tofu bowl. The seared tofu has a nice bite on one side and absorbs the sauce well. He also really enjoyed their Salmon Teriyaki Bento, which also had the croquettes and gyoza. For their rolls, we love their Dynamite roll, which is a deep fried California roll pieces with sauces drizzled on top. I love eating it on the way home while it's fresh, warm, and crispy lol. I also really liked their Rock N Roll, Dragon Roll, Rainbow and of course the classic California Roll. My BF really liked their Futomaki Roll, which is a great vegetarian option. Our other go-tos include the Vegetable Tempura and Vegan Gyoza. We still want to try the Unagi Bowl and the different sushi and bento combos. PRICE: The best part of having the take away format are the affordable prices. The portions are also pretty filling. At $5.95, their California rolls are the best. Most rice bowls are priced around $9.75 to $10.95, with the exception of the unagi and poke bowls being $16. The bentos are $12.75-$14.75. The sushi rolls are priced from $3.75 to $12.95 and they also offer sushi combos that save you a little extra too! Both the Sashimi and Nigiri options come with 8pcs for $14.95.

My new favorite Teriyaki Place ! Tokyo Stop Sushi and Grill serves togo food only. This is a mom n pop shop. The owners relocated here from the Bay Area due to covid. I tried the following: Teriyaki beef bento delicious tender ribeye steak shaved thin $13.75 Pork curry bowl surprisingly moist Pork with medium spice curry $9.95 California Roll, fresh and tasty $6.95. Service is fast and friendly and I am looking forward to coming back to try more of the menu.

Overall, this place has good potential and got room for improvement. The portion is very generous and filling. We got two bento and one appetizer. We ordered around 5pm on a weekday for dinner. The food arrived very fast, though not hot. The panko shrimp is very crispy, but the shrimp is not plump and on a soft side. Not a big fan on the shrimp texture. The teriyaki chicken is soft, and the beef slices is a bit dried and tough. The sauce is good. The katsu is good, though not hot enough. The broccoli came in both bento is good. Both bento boxes come with same side items. The pickled cucumbers and seaweed is refreshing. The yellow daikon is good. The dumplings and croquettes are pre-made and not hot. If not prepared fresh when ordered, those items tend to be oily. Other side dishes like steamed/simmered veggies (like carrots, daikon, taro, pumpkin), meat balls, or even salad will probably be better replacement if they are pre-made to serve. We will try again.

I ordered the chicken teryaki and ca roll bento to go The chicken is dark meat with the skin on Sliced Laid over a bed of white rice Teryaki sauce is underneath the rice I should have asked for an extra side of teryaki sauce It comes with 8 pieces of ca roll This roll was made well and tasty They give you 2 potstickers and 2 croquets with sauce packets to go A side of wasabi This was a good sized meal It cost around $14 Next time I'll try more of the rolls - they looked good!

Jennifer was quick to getting our order. Our wait was very short! This Japanese order food to go restaurant was perfect that we didn't have to head to a local Japanese grocery store which we did though bc of my prior doctor's appointment downtown. Come to find out that grocery store had no power in the past few days bc of the ongoing outages due to the strong high gust of winds & nonstop 17 days of rain. Yup our January 2023 extreme weather has been no joke! They were unable to cook so we could NOT pick up any already prepared bento boxes. My wife suggested coming here instead as if it was a omen to finally trying this small rather new business. Normally with the ongoing Mercury in Retrograde she's reluctant though but we did it nonetheless! My wife ordered the salmon teriyaki bento which consisted of a few pieces of grilled salmon, a pair of gyoza, single croquette, takuan (pickled yellow radishes), cucumber salad & rice. It was decently delicious & tasty! Yay! I ordered the chicken karaage which is the Japanese style popcorn chicken topped with a bit of teriyaki glaze over rice in the bowl. That was foodie delicious! We were both very happy with our choices here. Actually both of us had been eyeing the shrimp teriyaki picture facing outside before & after entering the restaurant so I personally asked Jennifer about it. Come to find out it was listed under the SIDES: A4 Ebi Fry & A10 was the Vegetable Tempura. We will be back to order those two items next time. By the way we did return! My wife proclaimed the veggie & shrimp tempura were fabulous! So much food she exclaimed. So nice that this business is so conveniently located in Elk Grove. We love that. We even have seen local people who walk our neighborhood have frequented here at the same time as us! We plan on returning soon! You can count on that!
